The thing about me is I do like to play as optimally as I can and knowing these kind of games can get extremely grindy, I feel like picking it up can get counter-intuitive to.

Wand Chaos starts with a 8% chance to cause one of the above effects, and increases this chance by 2% with each point spent, giving a 36% chance at maximum. 
These effects can also happen with the Magma Spear, Magma Mace, Icy Blast and Shockbolts skills, if a wand is wielded. Lightning Brand (Level 14): When you hit a shocked enemy, you do an additional burst of lightning damage.Wand Chaos is an Embermage passive skill that imbues wands with the ability to cause one of several random effects a percentage of the time. These effects can also happen with the Magma Spear, Magma Mace, Icy Blast and Shockbolts skills. Wand Chaos (Level 7): Attacks using your wand can result in bizarre, random elemental disturbances.
